General
About working with us.
-
Individual short-term rental owners building a brand — typically one to three properties. If you manage a portfolio for other owners or run a multi-property operation, we're probably not the right fit; our systems and pricing are built around a single dedicated host, not a management company.
-
The STR Starter Audit. It reviews your listing, website, and guest journey, then hands you a prioritized action plan — including an honest recommendation on your best next step, even if that step isn't hiring us.
-
No. We build the brand, website, and systems — you (or your existing tools) run the day-to-day. Fjellsangin, our own cabin, is self-managed, so everything we design is built for an owner who's hands-on with their own property.
-
Doesn't matter. Our Editions are organized by property type — cabin, beach house, lakefront — not by location. We work with owners nationally; Fjellsangin is our proof of concept, not a requirement for who we take on.
STARTER AUDIT
Before you book one.
-
All three review the same things — listing, website, guest journey — scored against our internal rubric. Starter gets you the action plan itself. Pro adds deeper analysis and prioritization. Strategy adds a live working session to walk through findings together and plan next steps.
-
Yes — that's part of the Visibility category. We check whether your site is actually structured so an AI engine could cite it: real guest-type pages, a visible FAQ block, schema markup, concrete facts up front instead of mood language. It's not a guarantee — most direct-booking sites in a market never get named by any AI engine, no matter how good the property is — but an unstructured site has no chance at all. We'll tell you plainly where you stand.
-
Once you submit your intake form, expect your action plan within a set turnaround window — we'll confirm the exact timeline when you book, since it depends on which tier and current queue.
-
Then that's what it'll say. The audit is built to give you the honest read, not a sales pitch — sometimes the right next step is a fix you can make yourself this weekend. We'd rather earn your trust now and your business later.
WEBSITE EDITIONS
Before you launch one.
-
Take the three-question quiz on the Editions page, or just go by property type: Evergreen Hollow for cabins and mountain retreats, Salt & Tide for beach houses, Stillwater House for family lakefronts. Structure is what actually differs — not just the color palette.
-
No prior experience required. Every Edition ships with a written Notion setup hub — seven searchable guides, plus a few short videos for the steps easier to watch than read.
-
Starter ($297) is the full Edition and setup hub. Pro ($497) adds our SEO/GEO guide and swap-ready stock copy for every page. Strategy ($797) adds a working session to tailor the Edition to your specific property.
-
Yes — your Edition purchase credits toward a Full Brand & Build engagement if you decide to go custom down the line. Nothing you spend on an Edition is wasted.
FULL BRAND & BUILD
Before you go custom.
-
An Edition is a proven structure you customize. Full Brand & Build starts from your property specifically — name, identity, palette, voice, site, and the tech stack underneath, all designed as one system rather than adapted from an existing framework.
-
Scope and timeline depend on what your property needs — we'll walk through both on a call before any commitment. Most engagements start with the Starter Audit, which gives us (and you) a clear picture before we scope custom work.
-
Yes — booking integration, email capture, and the guest-journey architecture are part of the engagement, not an add-on. Every tool we recommend has already been tested at Fjellsangin first.
the visibility setup
Let’s get you found.
-
A complete Google Business Profile build or rebuild — categories, services, photos, description optimization — a review strategy, a written upkeep guide you keep, and a local content cluster written and SEO/GEO-optimized for your specific market: a property-type page, an area guide, and one more market-tied page built around whichever gap the audit found. This is what closes the gap the Starter Audit's Visibility category actually scores — GBP work alone doesn't touch it. $597 flat. No retainer, no ongoing fee.
-
It helps, but it's not required. The Visibility Setup can point to your existing site or listing — it's designed to work alongside whatever you currently have, and pairs especially well once a direct-booking site is live.
-
Turnaround on the build itself is 10 business days — longer than our original GBP-only service, since this now includes three fully written, market-specific local-content pages alongside the profile rebuild. How quickly it affects your visibility — including whether an AI engine ever cites you — depends on factors outside our control: Google's own indexing timeline, your review velocity, and each engine's own weighting. We'll tell you honestly what to expect, not oversell it.
